  13. Subject:  Azden PCS-4000 Busy /Scan Mode Modification

  15.      The following  is from LTC  Albert Beutler  (ZIGZAG 19).  He has
  16. developed  a modification  that will  convert the  scan mode  to what
  17. he calls  a more  conventional arrangement.  His  modification  is as
  18. follows:
  19.           "The Busy/Scan  mode of  the  Azden PCS-4000  scans until a
  20.      signal  is  received, pauses  for  about five  seconds, and then
  21.      resumes  scanning unless you are quick  enough to hit one of the
  22.      keypad  buttons to stop  the scanning.  It is then  necessary to
  23.      manually  restart the scanning.  This modification  converts the
  24.      Busy Scan Mode to the more conventional arrangement in which the
  25.      radio scans  until a signal is received, stops  scanning as long
  26.      as the  signal is present, and then  resumes scanning about five
  27.      seconds after loss of signal.
